Call for Session Proposals

The Call for IFISH 5 Session Proposals is now closed. Thank you for your interest. 

We are inviting proposals for regular sessions (3-4 presentations on a given theme), panels (several short presentations on a given theme followed by discussion), roundtables (discussion sessions featuring short presentations by 3 or more speakers followed by audience participation) and workshops (guided session on a particular theme or issue led by one or two individuals).

Sessions will normally run 1.5 hours. Where justified, double sessions (3 hours) will be considered. Workshops will normally fit these timeslots. Proposals for longer pre-conference workshops are also welcome. Proposals should be a maximum of 750 words in length, with a short description of the session as well as descriptions of individual speakers’ presentations.

Regular Session Proposal: Four 15-minute presentations

Panel: Several short presentations on a given theme followed by discussion.

Roundtable: Discussion featuring short presentations by up to 6 speakers with extensive audience engagement

Workshop: Guided session on a particular theme lead by one or two individuals

Questions about sessions and completed submission forms may be sent to ifish@mun.ca. Abstract and session proposals can be submitted electronically until November 15, 2017.
